Dr. Ines Ruiz-Huston
The daughter of a Chilean and a Spaniard, Ines is the Latino Community Outreach Coordinator for the University of the Pacific, recruiting and support retention of Latino students, organizing annual Hispanic heritage celebrations and other cultural programs, develops partnerships with migrant education and other community projects.

Richard Ríos
A retired English and Chicano Studies teacher from San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, Ríos is also a writer, poet, visual artist and sculptor but, above all, he's a Chicano Culture activist. Born in Modesto to Mexican immigrants, studied art and English, earning his Master’s Degree from CSU-Stanislaus. He is a Stockton’s Mexican American Hall of Fame inductee and Stockton’s Top Artist Award recipient.

Dr. Gene E. Bigler
Born and raised in San Bernardino, California, former University of the Pacific professor and retired diplomat Gene Bigler has traveled extensively around the globe. But he feels more at home talking about Latin America, where he spent 18 years of his career as a teacher, researcher and diplomat, meeting iconic leaders and always trying to advance the cause of inter-American integration.

Manuel Camacho
Hailing from Mexico City, Camacho got his Master's Degree from CSU-Northridge and he works as Spanish and Italian Instructor at San Joaquin Delta College. Camacho is also a Storyteller and the writer of many short stories.

Jeremy Terhune
Stocktonian Terhune is a former Peace Corps (Panama) volunteer with a BA in Humanities from CSU-Chico. Currently he is the San Joaquin Valley Representative for Defenders of Wildlife; and he’s the founder and CEO of PUENTES —a human services and development organization based in Stockton—California.

Candelaria Vargas
Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, Vargas holds a B.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of the Pacific and is currently working on her Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from CSU-Stanislaus.
